Embedded
In response to the imperial origins of historical cabinets of curiosity, this body of work reimagines objects of wonder through household waste. Reclaimed aluminum cans are refined, cast, anodized, and embedded with bottle glass, plastic, and collected shells and stones, transforming discarded, ultra-local material into objects of wonder.
This work was presented in collaboration with Ashley Pollack at New York City Jewelry Week 2024.
